BOUDOIR DREAM SHOOT GUIDE

Hello Friends! Thank you so much for your interest in my boudoir photography! I am thrilled you are reading this! Let me introduce myself. My name is Khim and I own Khim Higgins Boudoir (KH Boudoir). My studio is in Oviedo, Florida and I service women all over Central Florida. I specialize in photographing women of all ages, shapes, and sizes. I have cultivated a strong business presence in helping women to truly believe in their beauty no matter what stage of life they are in.

Most of us struggle with our self image. I have been there! We listen to the world around us and internalize certain expectations that does not ring true to our inner spirit. What we need to do is tune out all the noise that does not serve us. Instead, we need to tune in to our hearts, listen to our inner guidance and realize that we are perfect as we are and we ARE enough right now! It doesn't matter if you have weight to loose. Each one of us are beautiful on the inside. Let that beauty radiant on the outside and share it with your family, friends and the world!

Having done a boudoir session myself (years before I became a photographer), I whole heartedly believe every woman should experience a boudoir session. I still remember how liberating I felt after my boudoir session. There is something about seeing yourself in sexy lingerie and posing like a goddess. You will gain confidence and self acceptance after you see your images. This is a gift every woman deserve.

HAIR & MAKE-UP

Professional hair & make-up is an essential part of the boudoir experience. This can make or break your photo shoot and that's why I only work with the best make-up and hair artists.

When you see how fabulous you look after hair & make-up, that confidence shows in every image. When you feel beautiful on the outside, you will also feel beautiful on the inside. This beautiful feeling will be captured in every shot. And years from now when you look at your boudoir album it will take you back to how beautiful you felt. We don't forget feelings. So self-confidence can be yours. If you need help in finding it, I can help!

WHAT TO WEAR

Your wardrobe choices are limitless from a baby doll to a corset. Keep in mind that not every outfit has to be lingerie. A little black dress with string pearls is classic and sexy when paired with stiletto heels and thigh highs.

A boudoir session can look feminine without being risque. A soft or see through off the shoulder sweater with a pair of his favorite panties is just as hot. My advice is to wear something that looks good for your body type and that you feel sexy in.

Pick out lingerie that highlights your lovely curves, but please remember sometimes a tight t-shirt, soft sweater or over sized button-down shirt can be just as sexy. Let your own personality shine through and wear what you love.

Want a Victoria Secret look? I recommend a matching bra & panty set, lacy bodysuit, garter belt, stockings, and stilettos. What about the girl next door look? Try a white sheer tee, off the shoulder sweater, lacy panty, tank tops, jeans shorts, and cowboy boots. How about a classic sophisticated look? I suggest a white button-down men's dress shirt, lacy panty and a matching bra.

Bridal boudoir: bring your favorite lingerie as well as a white bra & panty set, wedding veil, wedding shoes, garter, and other wedding accessories. A bridal boudoir is a regular boudoir session with added bridal accessories.

Personalize your shoot: Bring something of his to incorporate into your session. This can be his favorite tie, a sports jersey or hat.

Please do not stress over what to wear. I will help you style your shoot and offer suggestions at the wardrobe consultation.

POSING

I have photographed hundreds of women with overjoyed clients and I know exactly how to pose you down to your fingertips! You don't need to worry about not knowing what to do. It is my job to coach you from start to finish.
I have years of training in posing to ensure that you are always in the most flattering look for your body type.

RETOUCHING

I have a decade of editing experience. My style is natural. I'm not a heavy handed editor. Your image will look like you but enhanced. I keep your skin texture natural. I'm not going for the plastic Barbie doll look. My standard editing looks like this: removal of blemishes and scars, soften fine lines, stretch marks, cellulite, and general smoothing of the skin. For clients who want body contouring, nip & tuck there is a small fee per image.
